Statement of Purpose
- The name of the incorporated association is TLC Group Lara Inc
- To perform the following functions on a non-profit, best endeavours basis–
To care for our environment
To protect Serendip Sanctuary, You Yangs Regional Park, Limeburners
Bay and wildlife corridors;
To protect the waterways of Serendip Creek, Hovells Creek, Ramsar.
wetlands at Limeburners Bay and Avalon from any threat and/or
unsuitable development along the watercourse;
To protect the township of Lara and St Laurence Park from any
likelihood of downstream flooding as a result of any unsuitable
development, particularly in flood prone zones;
To create awareness to the greater community for the balance of
infrastructure versus development
To protect the health and safety of all residents to ensure that fire
prone areas are not unsuitably developed
To continue with the Serendip Creek Public Reserve/ Adopt a Park
project in partnership with the City of Greater Geelong, attending to
ongoing revegetation, maintenance and education programs to create
awareness of indigenous flora and fauna.
